On May 28, 2024, a diverse group of Gettysburg travel industry leaders and small business owners met with Rep. John Joyce (PA-13) at Mansion House 1757 to discuss the economic impact of travel in his district. Throughout the meeting, the group discussed the 11,000 jobs and $1 billion in visitor spending that the travel industry brings to his district annually.
The Congressman was also interested in learning more about the industry’s most pressing priorities, including lowering visa wait times, leveraging innovative and efficiency-boosting technology and fully funding the Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Travel and Tourism.
